Brian Opperman, Worship Pastor

My favorite character in the Bible: David

My life verse: 1 Peter 2:9

One question that I would ask God: Please stretch, challenge, and equip me till the day I die.

Something that nobody knows about me: I like fishing and spending time outside.

I am happiest when . . . I wake up, have breakfast with Erika and get to spend the whole day with her with nothing else going on.

The one book (besides the Bible) I’d recommend to anyone: Radical (David Platt)

On my iPod: Tons. Recently listening to Passion, Hillsong, Jonsi’, Jon Foreman, to many to list.

My trademark expression: unknown

The team I root for: Chiefs

My proudest moment: Marrying the love of my life

My perfect childhood memory: Wakeboarding at the lake and coming home and grilling.

In my free time . . . Spend time with Erika and work around the yard.

If I could do it over again, I . . . I would do it the same way. I love where God has brought me and the things I have experienced. I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Three people I would want to have a meal with: Reuben Morgan, Jon Forman, Let me think about a third

My favorite movie: Cinderella Man

My favorite TV show: Don’t laugh. “Full House”

How I would spend $1,000.00: Keyboard for home

What my last meal would be: Not so much what but where and with who. With Erika on a cliff overlooking the ocean after a whole day together.

I’m most excited about: Where God is taking Abundant Life, and how he is using this church to advance his Kingdom.

My pet peeve: Inconsiderate people, or people who think they are better than others.

I could eat . . . true

My favorite vacation spot: anywhere tropical or beachy

My passion for ministry: To see people experience freedom in Christ, and to see that freedom expressed in worship where people aren’t worried about what others are doing, but are focused on their response to God. To see people let go of self and grab on to God, and give him their devotion.

My family: Erika and I
