7 Million in 70 Months
Building Campaign

With the partnership of the ALBC family, we are seeking more room to reach more people for Christ. Celebrate the Vision is the third in a series of campaigns that have funded construction at Abundant Life Baptist church:
• The Building the Vision campaign raised funds for the construction of The Core.
• The Bold Vision campaign raised funds to pay off the mortgage for The Core.
With those initiatives behind us, our current campaign, Celebrate the Vision, is:
1. Paying off the remaining $3 million (out of an original $7 million) owed on the main campus and children’s wing.
2. Raising funds for the construction of a new auditorium and ministry space.
Why do we need more room?
We need more room because we want to continue reaching people with the Gospel and serving our community. Our Sunday attendance hovers around 3,000 and we frequently use every inch of space at the main campus and The Core. The congested environment regularly leads people to return home after failing to find a seat. Lack of space also hinders our efforts to expand our existing ministries for children, students and adults – not only on Sundays, but throughout the week. As long as there are people to reach, we want open doors for them to walk through and empty seats for them to fill.
What functions will the new facility serve?
An approximately 2,000-seat auditorium will be the centerpiece, creating more space for people who need Jesus Christ. It will also feature an expansive lobby with a modest café for members and guests to meet and build relationships. Lobby and café space will also be used for discipleship and informal meetings. A new welcome center and resource area will serve the needs of members and guests. In addition, the building will include space for newborns-preschoolers (see more on children below). Adult classrooms will also be included. These rooms will primarily serve senior adults and parents of infants and preschoolers. The proximity of those classrooms to the auditorium means those groups will experience minimal travel between buildings. Other adult Community Groups will continue to meet at The Core and at the current main campus. Shuttle buses will carry people back and forth to these destinations.
Children and students
Middle and high school students will continue to meet at The Core, which will be adjacent to the new auditorium building. A nursery and preschool wing will also be part of the facility, providing convenient access for parents with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Initial plans call for grade school children to continue using the children’s wing at the existing main campus, shuttling directly to the door. When funds become available, future expansion plans call for a new children’s wing (grades K-6) to be built next to the new auditorium.
What will happen to our existing buildings?
The Core will continue to be used by both students and adults. Our current main campus building will be used by Community Groups, children and other ministries. Our church offices will remain in their current location.
How can you be a part of the vision?
Realizing this vision will require revolutionary faith and action on the part of every member of the ALBC family. We are asking every member to make a financial commitment – above and beyond regular giving – lasting until April 27, 2014. We believe that God will bless our sacrificial, consistent giving and turn this vision into reality. We realize that everyone has different resources, so we are not seeking equal gifts, but equal sacrifices. We are firmly convinced these are sacrifices worth making, resulting in lives that are changed for generations to come and into eternity. In addition, your faithful prayers are needed as we seek to build much more than buildings: We are seeking more room to reach more people for Jesus Christ.
