Chris Thomson, Singles Pastor

My favorite character in the Bible: The apostle Paul

My life verse: 1 Cor. 16:13-14 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.”

One question that I would ask God: “What do I need to do, to be all that you need me to be?”

Something that nobody knows about me: I used to be in Boy Scouts (Life Scout). I’m an Air Force brat. I grew up in small farming communities (and liked it!), and I like to sing!

I’m happiest when . . . I’m spending time with Michelle (my wife) and my 3 awesome kids! (That’s my first Ministry!)

The one book (besides the Bible) I’d recommend to anyone: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge

On my iPod: Shane and Shane, Tree 63, David Crowder Band, Lincoln Brewster, Monk & Neagle, Red, Pillar and Third Day

My trademark expression: “You’ll get over it!”

The team I root for: St. Louis Cardinals

My proudest moment: when my kids asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior

My perfect childhood memory: smacking a walk-off grand-slam with two outs against our rivals (we were the underdogs!) and spending time camping with my family

In my free time, I . . .
like to run/workout, spend time with the family, fix things that get broken, and read. (TV is over-rated and I’m not paying for cable!)

If I could do it over again, I . . . would have listened to my parents more! (No, I mean like listened and took their advice!)

Three people I would want to have a meal with: Jesus (duh!), my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather Charles Thomson (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Thomson), and my grandfather, Merlin Thomson, who died before I was born.

My favorite movie: The Passion of the Christ and I really liked The Blindside

My favorite TV show: any sporting event that I can get on free TV

How I would spend $1,000.00: on a mission trip with my family (preferably something out of our comfort zone!)

What my last meal would be: Just about anything at Cheddars!

What I am most excited about: the fact I get another day to serve and lead people closer to Christ

My pet peeve: laziness (mostly my own!)

I could eat . . . just about anything! I have had food from around the world, and I love new culinary experiences!

My favorite vacation spot: anywhere there is a warm beach and my family

My passion for ministry: that moment when people finally “get what it’s all about” and the moment that people find that exact niche they were created for!

My family . . .
is the best! They are more of a blessing than I ever deserve! My wife is Michelle, and our kids are Michaela, Carter, and Madeline.
