Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
You are encouraged to wear comfortable, modest clothing. The outward appearance is not what matters most at ALBC. You will see people wearing anything from dresses and suits to jeans and T-shirts. Children often play in the Treehouse play area, and comfortable clothes for climbing and sliding are appropriate.

What should I do with my children?
ALBC has an exciting children’s program for newborns through 5th grade for all three service times. The children’s wing is located in the back of the main building. You can register your child at the check-in station and receive a scan card that you will use to pick up your child. Friendly workers will assist you in finding your child’s classroom based on their age. 6th graders (Tweeners) have their own class in the main building that meets at 11:00. Middle School and High School Youth meet in The Core at 9:30.

Where should I park?
First-time guests have designated parking spots in our main building parking lot. A shuttle is also available to ride from the parking lot located to the north of The Core. The shuttle drops off at the front doors of the main building and runs continuously during all three services.

What is your service format?
All three services have the same format which combines contemporary worship with solid Bible preaching. Music is led by a praise team, and our choir sings regularly. Drama is often included. Community Groups are also available during all three service times. These groups study the Bible and offer a smaller setting which allows for getting to know other people better.

What do I bring?
You only need to bring yourself. If you have a Bible, bring it with you because we use it!

Where do I go when I arrive?
For 8:00 and 11:00, services are held in the main building. Greeters will meet you at the front doors with a bulletin and a smile. The auditorium is located just to the left of the main hallway. At 9:30 and 11, you can choose to worship in the main building or at The Core.

What can I expect on my first visit?
You can expect to be greeted by the warm, friendly faces of our parking lot attendants, greeters, ushers, and pastors. In the main building the Welcome Center is located down the main hallway with an information desk to the right. At The Core, the welcome desk is also to the right after entering the building. Members are there to assist you at either location with any questions that you may have. During the meet-and-greet portion of the service, Pastor Phil will welcome guests, and you are encouraged to take a welcome packet that will give you more information about our church.

Will I be asked for money?
No, you will not be asked for money. An offering basket is passed at the end of the service, and you are welcome to drop your visitor card in the basket so that we can get to know you better.

If I visit, will I be singled out as a guest?
Toward the beginning of the service, Pastor Phil will welcome guests and ask first-time visitors to raise their hands if they would like to receive more information about our church. Everyone is standing to meet and greet during this time, and no one is singled out. A visitor card is included in the welcome packet which can be placed in the offering basket at the end of the service so that we can get to know you better.
