Hrvoje & Petra Malovic - Croatia

Hrvoje and Petra Malovic are serving with Campus Crusade for Christ in the Republic of Croatia that is located in the south-central Europe. We got married in 2001 and we have three children, Mia 5, Dora 3, and Emili 4months old. We just now moved to the capital of Croatia Zagreb.

Our current ministry is with the Campus movement. We sensed 8 years ago Lord calling us to work among college students where our ministry is virtually the only one present, that takes initiative in meeting students, sharing the Gospel and discipling those future leaders of our country. Our main approach is initiative evangelism and personal discipleship. We seek all the possible creative approaches to reach new students and so very often we organize interesting and appealing outreaches with such various content with a purpose of drawing students but using those to be bridges between contemporary themes and truly most important topic, the person of Jesus Christ and how we can have relationship with Him. Last year we had the privilege of having Dr. Harold Finch with us and he spoke on the subject of Success. It was a really good project with a lot of young man and woman responding to his lectures. This is just one example of an outreach.

Our vision is huge, serving on a team of 5 full time staff, our vision is to reach our students in Zagreb with the glorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. What makes it huge is that there are more than 100.000 students, who represent more than 10% of the Zagreb’s population. We are praying and laboring toward the goal that each one of them will have multiple exposures to the Gospel, but not just that but to have a personal opportunity to RESPOND to the call. Also our vision is to personally disciple students to become truly followers of Jesus, and those who would bring others to the Lord. Also as we are serving in 95% Roman Catholic country, where typical church does not provide biblical teaching or fellowship, we are helping students to make one huge cultural change and join “free”, protestant churches, mainly in our case Baptist church which we are members of, where Hrvoje is serving in a role of a Worship pastor as well. We have seen that our disciples who joined our churches have become leaders and pillars as they received necessary training, and are well spiritually and theologically developed, and so are actively benefiting our churches that at this time are still not even able to provide this. We pray our disciples will be becoming more and more influencing, training their brothers and sisters.
