Missions

Abundant Life has a strong commitment to missions, both locally and worldwide. Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." We operate our missions ministry according to Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” To this end, we feel there is a God-given mandate for our congregation to show living proof of a loving God to a watching world in our city and metropolitan area (our Jerusalem), in our state (our Judea), in the United States (our Samaria), and in our world (countries outside the U.S.). We accomplish this mission by:

Praying for missions and missionaries
Giving to missions and missionaries
Going on short-term mission trips to evangelize and meet physical needs
Sending out missionaries from our church
Multiplying our church by staring church plants
Hosting an annual missions conference each fall
Teaching the church the importance of missions
