Ken & Carrie Liles - Serving in Restricted Areas

Rev. Liles grew up in Texas, the son of Rev. Ralph and Ruth Liles. The Liles' are a three generation family of Gospel Ministers. Ken has been in the ministry for 43 years. He is married to Carrie, who grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Ken and Carrie were missionaries in Iran for 13 years where they planted three churches, started two Christian schools and a Bible Institute. The Iranian Revolution forced them out in 1979.

Ken was the Missions Department Chairman of Baptist Bible College from 1978-1991. During this time, he organized S.T.E.P. (Student Training in Evangelism Program) and held seven summer evangelistic campaigns in countries outside the US. Missions Emphasis week was also established to encourage all students in their personal responsibility in missions no matter their majors.

Rev. Liles pastored Eastside Baptist Church, Tehran, International Baptsit Church, Tehran, And Isphafan Baptsit church, Isfahan Iran: Co-pastored Park Crest Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri then pastored the South Knollwood Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas for nine years, 1991-2000.

The Liles have six children who are all married and serving the Lord, five in full-time ministry, three on the mission field.

In 2000, Ken and Carrie were reinstated with BBFI to go to Creative Access Nations where the main emphasis is evangelism, church planting, and discipleship. More and more he is asked to present Islamic Awareness Seminars around the world and equip pastors, students and lay-people for this 21st Century Challenge.
