Ron & Nancy Minton - Serving in Ukraine


Ron Minton grew up in Dumas, Texas where he was saved as a teenager in Bible Baptist Church. He dedicated his life to the Lord at age 20 while in the Navy, and has desired to serve him since. He earned the BA in NT Greek at Grace College and his M.Div. at Grace Theological Seminary. His ThM, also from Grace, was in Hebrew and OT Studies. He received the ThD in NT and Greek from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minnesota. Ron has presented scholarly papers at various meetings and has published articles and reviews in periodicals. He served in the military as a submariner and latter as a Navy Reserve Chaplain. He was recalled to active duty for half a year during the Gulf War (1990-1991). He has given around fifty professional seminars on "How We Got the Bible" from 1998-2009. He is finishing a book on "The Making and Preservation of the Bible." He has taught at Boston Baptist College, at the Baptist Bible College Graduate School in Springfield, MO, and has served as the graduate dean at Piedmont Baptist College. While teaching Greek at Capital Bible Seminary, he and his wife Nancy answered the call as full time missionaries to Ukraine. Ron is a church planter, and he started International Baptist Bible College in Ukraine.

Nancy Minton grew up in Rhode Island, and was saved at age nine under the preaching of Evangelist Hyman Appleman. She was raised by godly parents, attended Second Baptist Church, and was a leader among the church teens. She won numerous awards in high school and attended several colleges. She toured the USA for a year with the musical-drama group, the Agape Players. She married Ron Minton July 4, 1972. She has always supported Ron’s ministry and her support enabled him to complete his education. She plays several musical instruments, including piano, harmonica, and accordion. She has been involved in evangelism, ladies meetings, nursery work, Junior Church, Awanas, music, choir, visitation programs, and other church ministries. In Ukraine, she takes care of her husband, keeps the house livable, mentors and teaches women and children, does nursery work, helps with administration and computer issues in IBBC, is active in outdoor evangelism, promotes hygiene and health among the students and churches, and helps communicate with supporting churches. She has a major part in everything related to the Mintons’ Ukraine ministry.
