Keith & Lisa Sampson - Serving in Russia

The Sampson family are missionaries to the Gulf of Finland region. This region includes the countries surrounding the Gulf of Finland, which are Estonia, North West Russia, and Finland. They spent the first 3 years in St. Petersburg Russia (located at the mouth of the Gulf of Finland). After studying the Russian language, they helped a church after the missionary who started the church left Russia for good. While the Sampson's were there, the church voted on their first Russian pastor. In April of '08 they moved to the city of Narva, Estonia because the Russian visa laws made it difficult for them to return to St. Petersburg. The city of Narva is about 95% Russian speaking and 3% Estonian speaking. In the future, they wish to do some work in Finland as well or promote the entire region to see more independent Baptist church planters come and establish new works in the area.
