Abundant Life is committed to both loving God and loving others. To this end, the church offers a variety of ministries for members to get involved in, and opportunities for the community to experience care and love from Abundant Life.
TEAM Outreach
TEAM is Abundant Life's outreach ministry designed to reach the lost and meet the other physical and spiritual needs of those in the community.
TEAM meets every Monday night from 6:15-8:00 p.m. Participants are divided into four teams, and provide a variety of outreach ministries, including:
- Welcoming new individuals in the community to the area.
- Writing sympathy or get well cards to those in need.
- Delivering gifts to those who have visited the church.
- Hanging door hangers that invite people to the services.
- Making visits.
- And more!
In addition, there are homebased opportunities to participate in LINK. Any Abundant Life member can participate in team outreach by contacting Phil Long at the church office or by email at "pastorlong @ abundantlifebaptist.com". Childcare is provided.
Rachel House
Abundant Life is a proud partner of Rachel House, a pro-life ministry for pregnant women. Ministry & donation opportunities are available. Call Cheryl Lamb-Wagoner at 816-322-7040 for more information or to help.
Jefferson Health Care Nursing Home Ministry
If you are a preson who likes to smile, hug, or help, join Abundant Life's outreach to Jefferson Health Care Nursing Home. Outreach is provided at the nursing home on Sunday mornings. Sign up to participate on a weekly or monthly basis. Opportunities for service include visiting and befriending residents, pushing wheelchairs, leading music, and more. Opportunities for letter writing are also available. For more information, call Janece McGill at 816-456-6125.
ALBC Food Pantry
Anyone from the church or the Lee's Summit area that is in need is welcome to visit Abundant Life's food pantry. The pantry is open every Wednesday from 3:00-6:00 p.m., and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m.-noon. For more information please contact the church office at 554-8181. Lists of donation needs are at the guest service counter in the Welcome Center.
