Steve & Pam Kern - El Salvador

Steve serves as the Director and President of Good News in Action and resides with his family in El Salvador, Central America since 1985 and reaches out from that base to the entire region of Metro America. (Metro America is geographical region defined by the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer in the Western Hemisphere where approximately 280 million people live, it is estimated that over 220 million do not know Christ. This is their mission field) They are dedicated to reaching the lost for Christ by means of traditional and creative evangelism, the planting of strong biblical churches whose goals are to glorify God, win others to Him, and transform lives through Biblical Discipleship and the preparing of pastors and missionaries through a Biblical Seminary. Since 1985 they have seen 240,000 professions of faith and have helped to start over 50 churches in the Metro America region. They currently help to support 16 national pastors and missionaries in that region. The church where they are currently ministering has grown to over 850 members. Steve currently serves as co-senior pastor at Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva and covers the areas of evangelism, missions, biblical seminary and pastoral preaching for the Friday night services. He also coordinates and leads evangelistic outreaches with teams from US churches about 10 times per year. Pam serves in the discipleship, evangelism, children’s and AWANA ministry as well as coordinator for accounting and finances, communications and administration for Good News in Action. They have 4 children, Kristen 26, Stephanie 24, Matthew 22, and Michelle 17.
