Tifanni Hughes, Director of Children's Ministry

My favorite character in the Bible is: Jesus, of course

My life verse is: Philippians 3: 7-8

If I could ask God one question, it would be: Can I please see exactly what you had intended for my life?

Nobody knows that I: I fainted during my wedding, and got salmonella poisoning and missed my wedding reception

I’m happiest when: I can spend time with my husband and children, and I don’t have to be anywhere else or having anything else that is waiting to be done.

The one book (besides the Bible) I’d recommend to anyone would be: Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours by Dr. Kevin Leman

On my iPod: Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Trinitee 3-5-7

My trademark expression is: You want me to show you my moves? (to my children-it makes them laugh to see me dance or do some of my cool basketball moves)

The team I root for is:
St. Peter’s College (Peacocks or the Peahens)- where I went to college. Or any team my children are playing for.

My proudest moment is: Being the first person in my family to graduate from college

My perfect childhood memory: playing hide-n-go seek outside in the street with my friends, until the street lights came on

In my free time, I: I would read, relax with my family, and outlet shop till I dropped

If I could do it over again, I: wouldn’t. Especially if there was chance that I wouldn’t have met my husband.

Three people I would want to have a meal with: My friend Ericka, My husband, and Jesus.

My favorite movie is: The Color Purple

My favorite TV show is: Good Times or the Celebrity Apprentice

I would spend $1,000.00: On my children

My last meal would be: Chick Fil-a nuggets, waffle fries, and a diet lemonade

I’m most excited about: Serving the Lord. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to serve the Lord!

My pet peeve is:
Selfishness and excuses

I could eat: Chick fil-a every single day if it was fat & calorie free!!!!

My favorite vacation spot is: Kaui, Hawaii

My passion for ministry includes: the fact that I never went to church as a child. So I always am thinking “If I was a child and came to visit ALBC, what would I have needed to know to give me hope and to change my life forever”. I feel a sense of urgency to share that our children. And to help them get to a place where they are equipped to handle whatever the world may throw at them, through their salvation & relationship with our Lord.

My family . . . is crazy, but they are the most FUN people to be around in the entire world! I love them so much. Danan-hubby, Jessicah-23, Joey-19, Taurin-14, Savvy-12, Talyn-9, and granddaughter Daryn-11 months.
